Samantha was the leader of the Bandit Clan of Wooden Forest after she wrested control of the band from her father.

Samantha was the daughter of the leader of the Bandit Clan and with puberty she manifested sorcerer powers. When she was 18 she defeated her own father in combat and took over; after that life for the bandits was less interesting. Before her, they used to steal the rich and give to the poor.

A bandit named Jim questioned her and he lost something they can't grow back.

No Cure for the Paladin BluesEdit

She was known to have her rogues kidnap people she would find attractive, and such was the case when the clan ambushed and captured Elan. Roy initially did not want to go rescue Elan, considering him a drag on the party. The rest of the Order of the Stick came to rescue him, only to find Elan in bed with Samantha. He admitted that he only wanted to seduce her. Haley Starshine challenged her to a fight but Samantha defeated Haley easily. Samantha attempted to hang Belkar Bitterleaf, Vaarsuvius Haley and Elan.

Soon after Roy Greenhilt changed his mind and arrived to save them. A battle erupted between the bandits and the Order but Samantha emerged victorious, although with little HP and no spells left. Thus she was an easy opponent for her father who reclaimed the leadership with only one punch. He planned to steal the party's equipment and leave them in the forest. Durkon Thundershield then returned and inadvertently defeated Samantha's father, making him the leader of the clan.

Some time laster Samantha was found tied with her father in the middle of the Wooden Forest after Durkon disbanded the bandit clan. They were freed by Miko Miyazaki who rescued them in exchange of their help to find The Order.

Samantha cast Hold Person on her in order to convince her to join them as a minion. Miko denied and killed them both.

Personality and TraitsEdit

Samantha was a petulant teenager whose powers outpaced her wisdom. She took control of the band, but alienated the membership. She was a typically lustful teen, using her position to get Elan in her bed. She was described as being good looking, with a higher charisma than Haley.[2]

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

  • Spontaneous Caster: Samantha's sorcerer abilities come from a natural talent, not arcane study. She can cast her spells at will without preparing them beforehand. She could cast exactly three sixth level spells per day, making her 12th level [3]
  • High Charisma: Samantha had higher charisma than Haley, but not enough to give her a bonus 6th level spell, putting her stat in the 16-21 range.
