Mia Starshine was the wife of Ian Starshine and the mother of Haley Starshine. She was killed in Greysky City by an arrow while Haley was still little, and as she died, she asked both her husband and daughter to "be better" than Greysky City.[1] This made Ian become paranoid, resulting in him trusting no one else but family and imparting these traits on to their daughter. It also resulted in Ian being captured by the Empire of Blood, then Tyrinaria, while attempting to overthrow General Tarquin's rule. Said attempt has been mentioned by Ian to be his worst decision since the day he planned a bank heist on their wedding anniversary, which made Mia extremely mad.[2]
