Roy and Xykon continue their aerial combat. Roy learns about the crown theft of which started his family's blood oath.

Roy and Xykon battle atop the Zombie Dragon high in the air.

Roy: What do you think of my new sword? You might be interested in knowing that it's shatter-resistant now, too.
Xykon: What's that supposed to—

Xykon: Hey! My crown!
Roy: Let go!
Xykon breaks the cord holding the crown around Roy's neck, "snap!"
- Panel 4
Xykon: I've been looking everywhere for this! I just assumed it was with my keys, wherever they are.
Roy: Hey! Give me that back!
Xykon: Let me think about that.
Xykon: ...
Xykon: No.
- Panel 5
Xykon: You would not believe the trouble I went through to get this crown in the first place.
Xykon: I went to steal it from this librarian in Cliffport, and it turned out oops! He was also an archmage!
Xykon: Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

Roy: Archmage in Cliffport... Master Fyron? That's what you took from him???
Xykon: Yeah, that's the name. Man, I killed him good that day, heh heh heh.

Roy: I can't believe this entire stupid Blood Oath started over the same magic crown I've been wearing around my neck for months.
Xykon: Magic? This crown's not magic.

Roy: What? Then... why steal it? Why kill Master Fyron and his son for it?
Xykon: Well, because it looks cool, obviously. Here, check it out:

Xykon: Badass.

Xykon places the crown on his head.

Xykon: REALLY badass.

Roy: Oh my GODS, I hate you so much!
Roy swings his sword in a flaming green arc.
Xykon: Geez, calm down! What's it to you, anyway?
Trivia[]
- The title refers to the often misquoted line from William Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2 act III, scene i, 31: "Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown." The crown, in this case, being Master Fyron's.
- Xykon yet again finds the details of his previous encounter with Roy, specifically that he shattered Roy's family sword, totally forgettable.
