Don't Split the PartyEdit
Boot Wight first appeared as an indistinguishable wight in Black Squadron, responding to the alert sent by the Granary Browncloak that there was an attack by the Azurite Resistance in progress. During the ensuing battle, Ho Thanh was dominated by Tsukiko. Due to a misunderstanding on the part of Boot Wight when Tsukiko suggested Thanh would come to understand the undead better after he would "walk a mile in their shoes", Boot Wight was given Thanh's boots, which he then wore for the rest of his existence. It is from Thanh's boots, that Boot Wight got his name. Tsukiko specifically referred to him as "Boot-Wight" in the bonus material of the printed version of Blood Runs in the Family.
Blood Runs in the FamilyEdit
Ultimately, he was an undead creature, bound to serve his master and incapable of free will and love, as Tsukiko believed. Control of Boot Wight and all of Tsukiko's wights was co-opted by Redcloak, who commanded them to kill Tsukiko, and eat each other. As Boot Wight was the last surviving wight of the original Black Squadron, he may well have been the final wight, and rather than being eaten, his likely end was self-immolation in the fireplace of Redcloak's study.
