D&D Context Edit
- The Tinker Gnome, also known as the minoi, was a subrace of gnomes first introduced in the 1987 AD&D (1st Edition) Dragonlance Adventures supplement. They are known for their technological inventions that never quite work as intended, though they can have fantastic capabilities. Tinker Gnomes were also adapted for the 1989 AD&D 2nd Edition Spelljammer campaign setting. Tinker gnomes were not adapted for D&D 3.0 and 3.5, though they could be played with the Artificer class from the Eberron campaign world to achieve the same sort of character. The Tinker Gnome was revived in D&D 5th edition with the Rock Gnome, which features many of the same technical aptitudes.
- Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy that incorporates 19th century industrial steam-powered technology and aesthetic designs.
