The correct title of this article is "What's Behind Door #2?". The substitution and omission of the # sign is because of technical restrictions.

Panel 1

The Order walks down a corridor. Elan is blue with cold from the last strip.
Elan: So...cold...
Haley: Ooo! Another door!
Roy: Awww, screw that! I'm not getting hit with more traps.
Belkar: C'mon, what are the chances Xykon trapped two doors in a row??

Panel 2

Cut to Xykon in his lair. Xykon is still scrying on the Order
Xykon: Pretty good, actually.

Panel 3

Haley: Don't be a wuss, Roy. We have to go through the door eventually.
Roy: Not necessarily. Belkar, does the chimera's trail lead through the door or not?

Panel 4

Belkar: Oh, wait. I was supposed to still be tracking that?

Panel 5

Roy is angry.
Belkar: What??

Panel 6

Belkar: Yeah, like I was really gonna remember that.
Roy: I say we leave it and move on for now.
Vaarsuvius: I concur.

Panel 7

Vaarsuvius: Indeed, we have no way of ascertaining what dire perils or luminous wonders lie behind this simple oaken door! It needs to remain a mystery until we might learn more about about what might lie behind it.

Panel 8

Elan: Wonders? Perils? Mystery?? Ooo! Let's see!
Roy: Elan! NO!!

Panel 9

The Order of the Stick and The Linear Guild are arranged in a mirror image to each other though the now open door way
Elan and Nale (simultaneously): Whoa...

Ending Insert

Vaarsuvius: See?? I told you it would remain a mystery.
Elan: DUHN DUHN DUNNNNNH!!!

Trivia[]

  • This is the first appearance of The Linear Guild; as such it is the first appearance of Nale, Thog, Sabine, Zz'dtri, Yikyik, and Hilgya Firehelm. The membership of the Linear Guild will go through many changes over the course of the comic, with the latter two only being part of the party in the Dungeon of Dorukan.
    • Zz'dtri's circlet is gold in this strip, the same colour as Vaarsuvius'. In every other strip in which the drow appears in the Dungeons of Dorukan, the circlet is red.
    • The only difference in appearance between Elan and Nale is the latter's goatee. This is an intentional reference to Spock's evil opposite in the Star Trek Mirror Universe, originally appearing in the 1967 episode, "Mirror Mirror".
